Michèle Saint-Yves

Michèle is primarily a playwright whose work concerns itself with themes of the structural and personal dynamics of power and its consequences, persecution/exile, disability and sexuality. It is informed by and connected to the latest neuroscience research on the impact of trauma on memory and identity, which she is majoring in as part of her current part-time Medical Sciences Degree.

Michèle recently completed her first novel supported by a Literature Grant from Arts South Australia and Richard Llewellyn Trust and is one of ten creatives in a joint AUS-UK residency called UNFIXED “focusing on disabled artists’ acuity for experimentation and innovation in their creative practice.”

Michèle is a current individual member of the Adelaide City Council’s Access and Inclusion Advisory Panel with a previous career that included social planning and crime prevention.
